Explore the wonder of light. Discover how to draw, differently. Compose music with a doodle. Get hands-on with fantastical family activities, workshops and shows and immerse yourself in amazing art installations - and much more!
Until 1 November a half term extravaganza celebrating creative and scientific uses of light and drawing is taking place at the National Media Museum as part of The Big Draw 2015 (1-31 October).
Light Fantastic combines installations that will excite all your senses with wonderful learning activities, and the chance to be inspired by real life scientists and engineers who use drawing in lots of different ways.
Hear from special guests who use drawing in their jobs, including Jay Clarke (Aardman Animations), Steve Bright (creator of Bananaman), Stefan Marjoram (Motorsports Artist), Kate Johnson and Fin Caton-Rose (University of Bradford), Andy Graham (Urban Designer) and Janis Goodman (Printmaker).
From engineers to animators, architects to illustrators, discover what they do, how they do it and how you can do it too at a Drawing Differently: Ask the Experts workshop. Then take part in one of the many exciting activities below. Perhaps you will even be inspired to organise your own Big Draw event?
