Botanical Illustration Workshop
at 10.00am to 11.00am

Capacity 20 participants

Drop-in Botanical Drawing
at 11.00am to 12.00pm

Join us in Shellharbour Stockland for a free, drop in, sit down workshop experience that introduces some easy ways to learn how drawing can be a mindfulness strategy, a way to relax, a wellbeing act.

Take away some handouts on why and how drawing calms our stress levels, and be inspired by the knowledge that we can all actually draw, we just need a few simple tips to get started!

We hope you can join us for a 1 hour Botanical Illustration workshop with artist Naomi Ullmann, finalist in the Archibald and Sulman Prize, drawing inspiration from the beautiful native flowers to be found in our local area supplied by Magnolia Florist and Stockland Shellharbour.

A Dose of Drawing is part of the MakeShift Program - a Rumpus initiative that connects creative practices with tools for building and maintaining positive mental health and wellbeing.

Rumpus
Rumpus: Learning Through Play - Creative Community

We are a non-profit organisation that uses PLAY as a tool to unlock skills and build mentally healthy communities and workplaces.

‍We believe that everyone has something to learn, and something to share and pass on to others.Whether it’s how to cook a meal on a budget, to build a backyard oven, or paint with watercolour, make jam or keep chooks. These are all skills that help make our communities more resourceful and sustainable, and also ways to spend time that invite focus, inspiration, creativity and an unplug from relentless busy-ness of modern life.

In six years, the enterprise has supported over 1000 community members to share and teach their skills to others. Over 10000 community members have learnt new skills.

From humble beginnings programming skill-share classes, Rumpus now works in multiple ways and places to promote 'purposeful play' as a vital tool for mentally healthy communities and workplaces.

Sound good? Come and play!
