Make a colourful handheld lantern and design new window art for Gainsborough's Heritage Centre in our design competition Gainsborough's Townscape Heritage Initiative are delighted to partner with Sweet Caroline's desert parlour on Silver Street as our colourful venue for a family friendly art workshop aimed at all ages.  This is a completely free event where you can make a colourful hand-held lantern which will light your way in the dark and can be used to light up the town during the Illuminate event which will take place in November.
We also have an exciting competition to design new artwork for the windows of Gainsborough's Heritage Centre. Templates are available for you to draw images from Gainsborough's thrilling moments in history.  We'll have lots of inspiration available to remind you of our town's links with kings and queens, battles, smuggling and World-leading engineering from the age of steam.  Just come along on the day, all materials are provided and the whole workshop is FREE.
