Artlift - Drawing to make you feel better!
Imogen Harvey-Lewis, Susie Walker
Gloucestershire International School
Thu 25 Oct 11-3
'SKY SCAPE' - let your imagination fly. Mark making and drawing suitable for all abilities and ages. Together we will create a huge abstract sky, using a range of monochrome media. You can hand cut the peripheries of the paper to spiral and convolute into a free formed background. You can use water-soluble graphite for dramatic ranges in tone and texture, or rub back charcoal areas with rubbers. Try our pencils on long sticks to extend your drawing reach (and because it's fun).

There will be ‘how-to’s’ on bird illustrations / paper star folding / paper boat making and drawing... These drawn masterpieces will be cut out and attached to the background, building up layers of a collage.

You will be encouraged to draw directly onto the background, using your imaginations of dream imagery, fantasy, quirky and plausible alike.

You will be able to contribute to the large floor mural and also take something small that you have drawn or created home.

So bring old and bring young and join us for some relaxed and fun creative exploration in the beautiful setting of the Gloucestershire International School on Horton Road. Parking is available onsite. We look forward to meeting you!
