Cambridge Open Art Exhibition 2019

Children’s art activities will be running alongside the exhibition on Saturday and Sunday in the cafe area.
Promoting art, artists and wellbeing through exhibition, education and participation, The Cambridge Open Art Exhibition features the work of 100 local artists.

We are the largest non selective open art exhibition not to charge any commission on sales.
This year we have an Artist in Residence, Shane
Swann, whose work is dedicated to raising awareness of what is being called the
Holocene Extinction, an on-going extinction period mainly due to human
The exhibition continues to grow and, through
its non-selective process, is committed to giving up-and-coming artists the
opportunity to exhibit alongside professionals. This year’s Top Twenty artists
will go forward to exhibit at Story’s Field, Eddington
The exhibition opens with the preview on Friday
11th October 6.30-9pm and continues Saturday 12th October
10am to 5pm and Sunday 10am to 4pm. Entry is free and there will be art
activities for children over the weekend as part of The Big Draw and a café with
all proceeds going to the charity, Wintercomfort. Artist stalls selling cards,
small gifts and unframed work. Commission free sales, and the chance to
Win-a-Picture and vote for the People’s Choice Award as sponsored by HMC
The organisers also encourage students to be
involved in all aspects of raising the exhibition, welcoming visitors and
interviewing artists and judges.
