Colour rap

Durham Sixth Form Centre
Welcome to our annual drawing event, open to all ages, with a variety of creative activities celebrating colour and art.
The annual celebration of drawing for all ages, working with artists, and with students of the Durham Sixth Form Centre, alongside classroom and gallery art educators from the North East Art Teacher Educator Network and friends. We will have indoor and outdoor opportunities (weather permitting), encouraging you to draw, to make, by yourself, in a group, in small spaces and large spaces.
We will have artist workshops, with Rosi Thornton, Lizzie Lovejoy, Paul Raymond, and Dr Qui Fang Colbert (what a line up!), an obliteration room made by visitors in the style of artist Yayoi Kusama, and several exciting workshops from the Graphics and Illustration lecturers at the University of Sunderland. We will have a weaving/textiles and embroidery room, a mindfulness and zentangle activity, face painting, 3d plasticine sculpture, and lens based and light photo workshops. Our NEATEN teachers will also be part of all of this and we will be supported by students from the Durham Sixth Form College.
There is a multi storey car park next to DSFC and possible onsite parking (if space allows, look out for the signage).
