Make a personalised 'casket' to be displayed at the Whitworth Art Gallery.http://gallerysearch.ds.man.ac.uk/Detail/18930 Join in our BIG Big Draw Project- We are aiming to fill the Whitworth Art Gallery with children's artwork on our Big Draw Family Day on 26th October! Over 8000 school children are making personalised 'caskets' to exhibit. Come to Longsight Library on the 6th October for their annual Fun Palace where you can make a casket of your own as well as join in all the other Fun Palace activities.

We are making caskets to celebrate a new exhibition curated by the pupils of Stanley Grove Primary Academy. The exhibition at the Whitworth is called 'I am 11' and it explores what it is like to be a child. The inspiration for the exhibition is a casket made by an 11 year old girl called Hannah Smith in 1654. This is why we are getting as many young people as possible to made caskets to flood the gallery! Come and join the fun!
