Join us at the Den for our exclusive art workshops 'Doodle with Daisy' Art Workshops As part of our 'BIG DRAW' event William’s Den is hosting a weekend of ‘Doodle with Daisy' art workshops for budding artists of all ages. Daisy has worked at the Den for the past year and has now moved on to finish her Art Degree, taking time out to share her love of drawing and all things creative with us. The workshops are both creative and adventurous as they take place in our wonderful woodland.  Fancy doing some drawing in a way you’ve never done before? Come along and ‘Doodle with Daisy’!

Saturday 13th October & Sunday 14th October 

10:30am - 12pm – Doodle with Daisy - Masterpiece Makers Suitable for all ages £4 per artist – (Available with/without The Den Admission) The mission of this workshop will be to make the most magnificent masterpiece out of the various things we find in the woods!  Along with making their masterpiece the budding artists will do blindfold drawing, shadow drawing, 30 second drawing and other techniques with paints, pencils and the natural tools we create on the way. This workshop will be 1.5 hours - 2 hours and children must be accompanied by an adult. 

2:30pm - 4pm – Doodle with Daisy – Drawing the Wild Workshop
Suitable for ages 6+ £6 per artist – (Available with/without The Den Admission) Join us as we venture into the woodland to see what beautiful nature we can find and sketch. This activity includes drawing techniques, sketch sessions in the meadow plus woodland and nature drawing with watercolours.  Ticket includes a William’s Den activity pack containing a pen & pencil, view finder, tracing paper and instructions for the drawing techniques Daisy shares with you.  This workshop will be 1.5 hours - 2 hours and children must be accompanied by an adult. 

Tickets: £4- £6 per child

We have a designated drop off zone and the disabled parking is located close to the main entrance to William’s Den, providing wheelchair friendly access into the building.
All public facilities within the building are accessible comfortably on foot and by wheelchair with level access throughout and ramped access into and out of all public access doors.
The internal and external play area is served by ramps also to ensure all can access some of the play zones.
There are several disabled and ambulant WC facilities available to customers.
We have installed a fully accessible WC - designed by Astor Bannerman - to support visitors with different disabilities. This is located in the main toilets, on the left as you enter the loos.  It includes a Ceiling Track Hoist, a Nivano Height Adjustable Changing Table and a Height Adjustable Wash Basin. Our trained staff are on hand to assist with the equipment.
