Drawing the Night Sky

Part of Wester Ross Dark Skies Festival
Kirkton Church Hall
A free community event to encourage everyone, young and old, to draw together to make a vivid artwork depicting our beautiful night sky.
Art for all the family to celebrate our night skies and create a
temporary installation in Kirkton Hall. We will work together to make a map of the night sky on the floor of the hall adding constellations, northern lights and who knows what else! We'll use tissue paper to create nocturnal animals and place them in the windows of the hall so that when night falls they will be illuminated from within. There may even be some 'Night Drawing' outside if the weather is suitable so dress up warm. Come and see the full effect
after dark from 5pm when there will be poems related to the night and
refreshments served. BRING A TORCH!
This event is in partnership with Wester Ross Biosphere, who throughout November will be celebrating our
spectacular dark skies in Wester Ross to promote understanding and the
benefits of spending time in the dark.
