Harlow's Big Draw
Harlow Art Trust
Gibberd Gallery
Sat 19 Oct 11am-3pm
Join us on Saturday 19 Oct for an art full day, with a trail through Harlow to see our sculptures and fun artist led activiites. Harlow is celebrating its 10th Anniversary as the UK's only Sculpture Town.
The town has an amazing collection of over 90 sculptures.

Harlow Art Trust invited schools to “adopt” a Harlow sculpture as a way of encouraging civic and personal pride in their town’s unique artworks. We wanted schools to explore and think how they can care for the sculptures on their doorsteps and create new work inspired by their adopted sculpture. Eighteen schools across the town are taking part in the programme and we have been amazed to see how awash everyone is with imaginative work from soap sculptures, collages, prints and fabulous  drawings.
On Harlow's Big Draw Day artists Nicola Burrell and Bristy Chowdury will be leading free drop in workshops between 11am and 3pm at the Gibberd Gallery & in the Harvey Centre.  An exhibition and art trail is being devised to take families from the Gibberd Gallery and through Harlow Central Library, the Harvey Centre & the Town Centre as they seek out the schools' displays and the adopted sculptures.

Part of the Access Harlow Sculpture Town Programme supported by the National Lottery Heritage Fund.
