A series of 3 fun filled workshops for 7-11 year olds inspired by the John Vernon Lord 'Taking a Line for a Walk' exhibition. Each day will start with an illustration activity using pen, charcoal and watercolours, which will then be developed into a monoprint/lino print.
In the afternoon this will be followed with different themed workshop:
Day 1 – Felt puppets
Create characters inspired by myths and legends.
Day 2 – Quick drying clay
Create your dream (miniature) giant sandwich with tiny people, cups, cutlery; and all the other things you need for a fantastic picnic.
Day 3 – Book binding
Create a booked filled with all your creations from the workshop(s).

7 - 11 year olds can join us to explore the magical world of John Vernon Lord for one day, 2 days or all three. Please book via our website.

Please note:
Children will need to bring a packed lunch.
Workshops have been designed for children to be left for the day.

Accessibility:
The museum is fully accessible to visitors and the Cart Lodge, Main Gallery and Learning Space are fitted with a hearing loop. Disabled car parking bays are located immediately in front of the Village Hall and Blue Badge holders can park on the nearby double yellow lines with the usual restrictions.
