Make The Change 2022
My Online Schooling
Thu 24 Feb
My Online Schooling pupils celebrate The Big Draw Festival with an international art challenge! In a special assembly event held in September 2021, 900 secondary school pupils from over 65 countries across the world attended a live webinar to learn about The Big Draw and discuss sustainability issues.
We aimed to inspire and unite pupils and families across the world with art, whilst promoting the issue of climate change and encouraging our young people to engage with change for the future.

The following week, pupils met in smaller teacher led groups to explore the importance of art as a subject, how a message can be communicated through the universal language of art, and to begin planning for the My Online Schooling art challenge.

Pupils were encouraged to research for inspiration and experimented with various styles, techniques and materials. Pupils then began to create their final piece of artwork, channeling sustainability to represent what "Make The Change 2022" means to them. We were blown away by the commitment and engagement shown by our young people.

Competition entries were submitted in October 2021, and judged by a panel of Senior Leaders. We were delighted to receive over 120 entries!
Our winner, Gana Abdelhamid in Year 7, received a special prize. All pieces of artwork are displayed in our school's online art gallery.
