The Big Draw 2019: Museum of the Moon Big Space Doodle Mural at Gloucester Cathedral
Saturday 26 October 10.30am - 3.00pm
Be part of the Museum of the Moon Big Space Doodle Mural at Gloucester Cathedral for Big Draw 2019!
Gloucester Cathedral is embracing the National Campaign for Drawing Big Draw 2019 with a spectacular free interactive day of drawing this October half term.
Children's author and illustrator Hannah Shaw will work alongside the public to create a large-scale Space themed mural. The day of arty activity not only celebrate's Big Draw 2019 but also the arrival of Artist Luke Jerram's Museum of the Moon that was installed in the Cathedral's Nave earlier this month. Museum of the Moon is one of Gloucester's Earth to Moon events to mark 50 years since the first Moon landing and is supported by Strike A Light Festival, Gloucester Cathedral and Gloucester Culture Trust.
The Cathedral warmly invites the public to come and add to the Space themed fun. The event will be free on a drop-in basis. Donations towards the cost of materials will be optional to those who wish to contribute.
And that’s not all! Hannah Shaw has also designed a Big Draw Rocket Colouring Sheet for anyone who comes to visit the Cathedral during half term. The Sheets can be found in the Monk's Kitchen Cafe from 28 October - 3 November.
