The Linnean Society of London
A nature-based family drawing & reading event in a historic venue
The Linnean Society is opening its doors to families on Wednesday 8th April for a special reading and drawing event to celebrate the launch of a new book by Christiane Dorion, Darwin's Rival: Alfred Russel Wallace and the Search for Evolution.
The Library will be open between 10am – 2pm, for young people to read the book, as well as draw and colour in different animals and plants from the book and our collections. We will be joined by the book's illustrator, Harry Tennant, who will be on hand to offer his expert advice. There will also be other fun activities throughout the day.
From 12 - 12.30, Christiane Dorion will be giving a short family-friendly talk all about Wallace and her book in our famous Meeting Room.
Please book a ticket if you plan to attend the talk. You do not need a ticket to visit the Society during other times of the day.
