Workshop: Cut-out Animation
Heather Shaw with Eye to Pencil
Part of Evening Workshops Eye to Pencil Studio
Tue 07 Nov 6.30-8.30pm
In this workshop led by Heather Shaw we will learn how to create animations through drawings using physical cut-out techniques. WORKSHOP DESCRIPTION
How are animations created through drawings? In this collaborative cut-out animation we’ll use paper dolls, puppet theatre backdrops and articulated limbs. Heather pushes us to see how drawings can transform into backgrounds, props, characters, landscapes and moods.

Materials are included.

Tues, 7 November, 6.30-8.30pm

Location: Studio, 26 Exmouth Market, EC1 4QE

BIO

Heather is about to embark on a sandwich year of computational arts amid her Fine Art Drawing Degree at Camberwell. She is a mixed media artist who works most often through short animations, installations and large-scale mixed-media paintings. Her practice helps her to come to terms with issues she’s had over these past few years, such as nightmares and sleep paralysis, breakups, gender dysphoria and more.
