Workshop: Drawing The Face
Jazmin Key with Eye to Pencil
Part of Summer Evening Workshops Eye to Pencil Studio
Thu 26 May 6:30-8:30pm
In Jazmin Key’s workshop we will be drawing self portraits using chalk and oil pastels. WORKSHOP  DESCRIPTION
In this workshop led by Jazmin Key, we will be playing with combinations of rich colour and texture using oil and chalk pastel. For the last 8 months Jazmin has been drawing a self portrait a day, which now constitutes her entire practice as she is “... fascinated, and maybe a little obsessed, by learning the lines it takes to draw my face and body.”

Jazmin Key is an artist based in Brighton, having graduated in Illustration from Brighton University in 2020.

Format: Our summer series of workshops will focus on extending drawing through low-tech, low cost, DIY techniques, with the aim to share skills. Workshop leaders will give a brief introduction to their practice, followed by a short demonstration of their approach with materials. See how emerging creatives are using drawing in their practices, and have a go yourself, to learn the rudiments of new techniques.

Thursday, 26 May

You can sign up to these sessions individually - tickets are £15. If you buy tickets for 3 workshops you can come to a 4th for free - email us to let us know which extra session you would like to do. There is a student discount of 33% on all tickets (code: student-33).
