Workshop: Drawing Together: Alternative Art Histories
Chris Francis with Eye to Pencil
Part of Workshops Eye to Pencil Studio
Wed 26 Jun 10am-4pm
Join Artpedagogy’s Chris Francis to write, draw, and playfully reimagine alternative (hi)stories told in art education! WORKSHOP  DESCRIPTION
Bring along your art histories - taught, dubious and imagined - and best prepare for mischief. This CPD-based workshop will playfully explore how and why art (hi)stories are told in art education, and then seek to remix and reimagine alternative possibilities. Drawings, words, story-telling and connection-making will be central to this day, suitable for all artists, illustrators, and art educators.

Materials are included.

BIO
Chris Francis is an arts educator, illustrator and co-founder of ArtPedagogy and PhotoPedagogy, two popular online resources for artists, educators and students. Chris best summarises his creative practice as ‘serious mischief’ – an ongoing quest to unpick art and art education via thinking hard coupled with less predictable actions and collaborations, be it material-led play, automatic drawings, collaborative interventions, or throwing a timely spanner in the works.
