In this playful workshop led by Wilfrid Wood, we will create caricature portraits through drawing and sculpting with Plasticine.
WORKSHOP DESCRIPTION
In the morning of this workshop we will first draw, then sculpt, a celebrity of your choice. This is done from photos.In the afternoon we will draw someone else in the room, this time from life. And then sculpt them. The sculpture will be made of the children’s material Plasticine. The idea is not to attempt a photorealistic portrayal but to slightly exaggerate features in order to bring out maximum character in the subject.

In the Summer our guests will be discussing drawing in relation to murals, art, architecture, and satirical portraiture. These workshops are a unique chance to understand drawing from different disciplines - working hands on within a small group led by inspirational drawers.
