Workshop: Drawing with the Machines
Floss Crossley
with Eye to Pencil
Part of Evening Workshops
Eye to Pencil Studio
Join artist Floss Crossley for a drawing workshop that explores online satire and personal myth making.
WORKSHOP DESCRIPTION
How do we bridge the gap between
traditional drawing practices and the reality of our digital lives? In
this workshop Floss will discuss the importance of drawing in online
spaces. In the spirit of online satire and myth making we will create
our own (algorithmically generated) archetypal characters and icons that
hope to engage with, the often viewed as embarrassing, digital space
we inhabit.
Materials are included.
Tues, 21 November, 6.30-8.30pm
Location: Studio, 26 Exmouth Market, EC1 4QE
Access: The studio is on the 1st floor with no lift
*Note: STUDENT/UNWAGED discount of 33%
Use the code: student-33 at checkout
Evening workshop format: Our series of Evening workshops will focus on
extending drawing through low-tech, low cost, DIY techniques. The creatives
leading each workshop are young and emerging, yet each is working in a strong
and accomplished way with their approach and materials. Curated by Issey Kang.
