WORKSHOP DESCRIPTION
What would learning look like if it
had visual or tangible form? What are the lines that teachers can or
should be drawing - be it for expectations, lesson mapping, modelling or
mischief-making?
This experimental CPD workshop is
aimed at (but not exclusively for) teachers of art and design at
Primary, Secondary or HE level. Participants will come together to draw,
collaborate and re-imagine art education in practical and profound
ways. A range of ‘big ideas’ and art-room activities will be shared and
concocted in support of personal and professional creative development.
Materials are included.

BIO
Chris Francis is an arts educator,
illustrator and co-founder of ArtPedagogy and PhotoPedagogy, two popular
online resources for artists, educators and students. Chris best
summarises his creative practice as ‘serious mischief’ – an ongoing
quest to unpick art and art education via thinking hard coupled with
less predictable actions and collaborations, be it material-led play,
automatic drawings, collaborative interventions, or throwing a timely
spanner in the works.
