Workshop: Storyboarding
Miquel Agell with Eye to Pencil
Part of Thursday Evening Workshops Eye to Pencil Studio
Thu 20 Oct 6:30-8:30pm
Miquel Agell will be leading a storyboarding workshop, using drawing, writing and mapping to plan and organise a story. WORKSHOP DESCRIPTION
In Miquel Agell’s workshop, we will be learning how to storyboard, using drawing, writing and mapping to plan and organise a story. Storyboarding typically comprises various panels which sketch out the plan for a film, video or animation, but in this workshop we won’t necessarily be narrating a specific story. There is an immediacy of drawing needed for storyboards which avoids a kind of strained attention to detail. This can open up an interesting starting point for participants to create their own visual language to tell a story or imagine an idea. Materials are included.

Format: Our Thursday evening series of workshops will focus on extending drawing through low-tech, low cost, DIY techniques. The creatives leading each workshop are young and emerging, yet each is working in a strong and accomplished way with their approach and materials.

Thursday, 20 October
Location: Studio, 26 Exmouth Market, EC1 4QE
