Northumbria University, City Campus
Exhibition of work created by students from Fine Art, Interior Design, Fashion and Graphic Design at Northumbria University.
Students from Fine Art, Interior Design, Fashion and Graphic Design are taking part in The Big Draw.
Organised by Judy Thomas and Seton Wakenshaw, the project, entitled (Disruptive) Transitions aims to bring together students from different disciplines, encouraging collaboration and creativity.
Over the past week, Year 1 Fine Art and Interior Design students have been using different materials and methods to create a series of progressive drawings which have evolved through a layered, responsive process. This week Fashion and Graphic Design students will also make their mark in the space, with the finished work displayed in the CCE2 foyer from this Thursday up until Saturday 2 November.
The project continues with collaborative drawing activities involving Year 1 Fine Art and Interior Design students and artists from the North Tyneside Arts Studios; the results will be on display at Tynemouth Metro Station, in the gallery space on the bridge connecting to two platforms.
Find out more by dropping into the Design Building (City Campus East 2) foyer from this Thursday to see the finished exhibition.
