"What an incredible day, I've come away buzzing and full of ideas for the classroom. Having very credible speakers from industry to articulate the power, importance and place of drawing across the whole curriculum really makes the case for creativity. Every education policy maker in the country should be made to attend!"
- Attendee, The Big Draw #ItsTheirFuture CPD event, The Hepworth Wakefield, November 2018
"It was a fantastic, eye opening session that I would recommend to anyone. Listening to professionals from so many different backgrounds (architecture, lecturing, mechanical engineering to name a few!) was so interesting. Sometimes we can get into our own little bubble of whatever we’re doing, we forget actually how big and broad the STEM vs. STEAM debate reaches and it certainly doesn’t end in the classroom… but it does start there."
- Sophie Adderley, newly qualified teacher - Attendee, The Big Draw #ItsTheirFuture CPD event, The Hepworth Wakefield, November 2018

THE HEPWORTH WAKEFIELD MAP | 29 NOVEMBER 2018 | 12- 4.30pm | FREE
IN PARTNERSHIP WITH THE UNIVERSITY OF LINCOLN AND THE HEPWORTH WAKEFIELD
Through discussion and practical drawing sessions, this CPD event explored how drawing, in its broadest interpretation, underpins a wide range of professional practice across sectors, as well as the significance of visual literacy and creative approaches across subjects and careers. With the expert guidance of a host of practitioners, there was a strong focus on exploring the relationship between drawing within the architectural, construction and engineering sectors.
This was a partnership event between The Big Draw, The Hepworth Wakefield and The University of Lincoln. The event was chaired by Creativity, Arts, Educational Consultant & Adviser and Big Draw Associate - Susan Coles.
This was a FREE event open to all teachers and arts-educators and practitioners.
