Art of the Gut
with Chris Jackson
Part of Art of the Gut Exhibition
The Forum, Norwich
Create a 'rubbing'/drawing of a body organ as a Hope for Health to hang on a giant microbe using templates and learn about science.
As part of Norwich Science Festival, help the Quadram Institute's artist in residence, Jennie Pedley to complete the Art
of the Gut exhibition in the BBC Foyer. Try the following activities: Make your own Wish for Wellness, pin your Hopes for Health on the microbe. Use handmade templates of body
organs and microbes to make a rubbing to hang on the wire 'hairs' of
the giant microbe, assisted by artist
Take the Veg Pledge – improve your health by eating veg! Feed the
microbes that help you get the most out of your food. Guess the veg from
beautiful slices of vegetable papyrus inside the microbe, make a felt microbe to wear as a sign of your pledge, with local artist Rach Anstey-Sanders.
