Draw with remote-controlled and Matchbox cars as part of the 2024 Big Draw Festival and SATURDAY DRIVE celebrating Jason Rhoades. Draw, paint and create with the whole family during an afternoon of free artmaking sessions at our Downtown Los Angeles gallery as part of the 2024 Big Draw Festival – a collection of thousands of creative events, activities and workshops across the globe run by organisations big and small; from individuals to entire cities. Inspired by the exhibition ‘Jason Rhoades. DRIVE’ and the Big Draw Festival theme of ‘Drawing in Motion’, this year’s events encapsulate the fluidity and energy of the drawing process, celebrating how lines, shapes and forms can capture the essence of movement and bring art to life. Through an innovative artistic experience, individuals and families can explore the intersection of art and play. Using remote-controlled and Matchbox cars as drawing tools, participants will transform the surface of a racetrack sculptural installation into their own canvas, creating a collaborative and kinetic painting as their vehicles glide across the track, turning movement into art.
