The free exhibition of artists' work Woolwich: Drawing on History on show at the Woolwich Front Room takes as a starting point the wealth of interesting buildings found in Powis Street, Hare Street and Beresford Square. The artists from Set Woolwich have investigated the stories they tell of the changing fortunes and fascinating history of this area. Their artworks give us a chance to see the commercial centre of Woolwich with fresh eyes!

The workshop is free and tickets are only available through Eventbrite.
Children must be accompanied by an adult at all times.

The family workshop is being run as part of a series of events for the Royal Borough of Greenwich's cultural programme for Woolwich. Woolwich is one of 68 High Streets Heritage Action Zones across England, and one of only five in London, that will be given a new lease of life thanks to a £95 million government-funded programme. The fund is being delivered by Historic England along with local councils and aims to unlock the potential of high streets across England, fuelling economic, social and cultural recovery and breathe new life into town centres for future generations. Woolwich town centre suffers high levels of vacancy in historic properties at its western end. The High Street Heritage Action Zone aims to help reconnect the historic retail core, working with other major initiatives to deliver widespread regeneration.
