Join this two-day workshop (Wednesday 27 September and Tuesday 10 October) with local artist Martin Wells, where you will learn the technique of underpainting and take away your own piece of art.
On this two-day workshop (Wednesday 27 September and Tuesday 10 October), local artist Martin Wells will teach the method of underpainting using oil paints on canvas, the technique used by Sir Joshua Reynolds.
Martin trained at Ravensbourne Art College and then worked in London's Fleet Street, painting portraits of political figures for international and national press. Martin went on to learn traditional oil painting techniques from a specialist in old master materials.
This is a two-day course; the first session is on Wednesday 27 September and the second on Tuesday 10 October. You need to be able to attend both sessions. The ticket price includes both days.
Materials, drinks and biscuits included. Event is aimed at adults.
